Children’s Day information

Children’s Day is celebrated all over the world. This tradition was initiated by Bishop Charles Leonard, pastor of the universal Redeemer church in Chelsea, Massachusetts, on the second Sunday of June in 1856. The doctor ran a special service devoted to helping children.

The International Day for the Protection of Children is celebrated in many countries as Children’s Day from June 1, 1950.

It was established by the International Women’s Democratic Federation at the congress in Moscow on November 4, 1949.

The purpose of this holiday was to make people aware that the most important thing is to protect children from war, hunger and other harm. The date was set for November 20.
